Car Insurance Scion (Car Insurance). engine overheating on a 2002 grand cherokee?

engine overheating on a 2002 grand cherokee? First off my cooling fan relay went out about a year ago and caused my engine to overheat and damaged the radiator. I have since replaced the radiator, cooling fan relay, thermostat, water pump and heater core. My engine still overheats in the CITY only after driving about 30 minutes or so. Any ideas??

have the cylinder pressure of each cylinder checked-sounds like you possibly have a blown head gasket or cracked/ warped cylinder head-is your oil on the dipstick milky colored? you could be leaking water into the oil pan I bet the cylinder head is cracked and coolant is escaping into the crankcase. Jeeps are like that. Hate to slop bad news all over you, but I don't wnat to lie. Sounds like you hit all the mark i would have done to fix it. You oval sly have some kinda friction problem going on cosing your motor to heat faster then your cooling system can cool it. I would bump up to a higher thermostat. ur probable running a 165* jump up to a 185*. See if it release Better Fluid for your motor. But worst come worst ur gaskets out or head cracked. Your Jeep has a cast iron cylinder head which can take some overheating. The relay is bad again or the fan is bad which took out your new relay. This happened a few times to our '99, never damaged the radiator, it was always the relay and we replaced the fan motor at least twice.

Scion . Trying to find diagrams and technical information on Head Up Displays (HUD) for aircraft?

Trying to find diagrams and technical information on Head Up Displays (HUD) for aircraft? I'm an engineering student, and have always been fascinated with Head Up Displays and how they are designed. I'm trying to understand how a Head up display works in an aircraft. I know how it works in general, but I'd like to find information and diagrams on what types of lenses are used, as well as how the symbology is generated through the HUD's computer, (voltage, electrical components used, etc.) I've googled to the end of the internet, but all the information is pretty vague. I have a feeling this may be because some of the information on Head Up Display is classified. Is there any place I could find design specifications for either a real HUD, or a HUD simulator? I know this is probably pretty difficult to get hands on this type of information without working at Boeing or some place that designs HUDs, but I felt it was worth a shot incase anybody could guide me in the right direction. car insurance.

Scion . How Do I Adjust a Headlight on an F-150?

Ford uses the F150 nameplate to identify its half-ton pickup trucks. The F150 is available in several different cab and bed configurations with two- or four-wheel drive. Interiors can be ordered with optional accessories that rival some luxury cars. The standard halogen headlights on your F150 are adjustable to compensate for loaded and unloaded conditions. This insures that you can see the road at night without blinding oncoming traffic with ill-adjusted headlights.
Difficulty:Moderately Easy
Instructions Things You'll Need
Measuring tape
Masking tape
Cardboard
4 mm wrench

Step by Step :
1
Park your truck at a perpendicular angle to a flat, vertical surface such as a garage door or wall. Use a measuring tape and make sure the front of your vehicle is 25 feet from the wall or door.
2
Locate the centering indicator on one of your headlight lenses, which is a 3 mm circle. Measure from the indicator to the ground. Transfer this measurement to the wall or door by applying a piece of 8-foot-long masking tape horizontally to the surface of the wall or door directly in front of your truck.
3
Turn on the headlights on the low-beam setting to illuminate the wall or door directly in front of your truck. Open the hood. Cover one of the headlights with a piece of cardboard and masking tape to make individual adjustments easier.
4
Observe the pattern on the wall or door that the uncovered headlight is making. Note that if the bottom of the beam pattern is above or below the masking tape, follow subsequent steps for vertical adjustment of the headlight. Turn the adjustment nut on top of the headlight assembly with a 4 mm wrench in a clockwise direction to raise the beam pattern, or in a counterclockwise direction to lower the beam.
5
Remove the cardboard from the opposite headlight and place it over the one you have already adjusted. Repeat Step 4. Remove the cardboard and masking tape, close the hood, and turn off the headlights.
Tips & Warnings
F-150 headlights are not adjustable horizontally.

Scion . How to Adjust Sonar Headlights

Sonar headlights are projector style lights available in different shapes of beams. The headlights are exceptionally bright and can have a halo or angel-eye effect while shining. Projector style headlights are manufactured to provide extra illumination for driver safety in nighttime driving. After installation of sonar headlights, each light requires adjustment so the beam is at the correct level for safety.
Difficulty:Moderately Easy
Instructions Things You'll Need
Small Phillips screwdriver
Masking tape
Small flashlight

Step by Step :
1
Drive the vehicle to within 1 foot of a wall or garage on a flat surface just before dark.
2
Place masking tape on the wall in front of the vehicle at the center of each headlight to form a cross. Put one piece of masking tape horizontally at the center of the headlight and another piece vertically to match the headlights vertical center. Repeat this for each headlight.
3
Move the vehicle back about 20 feet from the wall. Turn the headlights on the vehicle to the "On" position for low beams as soon as it is dark enough to see the beams on the wall.
4
Open the hood on the vehicle.
5
Place a small Phillips screwdriver in the light adjustment hole on the rear of the headlight assembly under the hood. The Phillips screw is recessed inside of the metal framework of the sonar headlight. Use a small flashlight to locate the adjustment hole, if necessary.
6
Turn the screwdriver clockwise to raise the headlight beam. Turn the screwdriver counter-clockwise to lower the headlight beam.
7
Adjust the beam with the screwdriver while observing its position on the tape. Adjust the beam so it is 3 inches lower than the center of the tape. Repeat this procedure for both headlights.
8
Remove the masking tape from the wall or building.
Tips & Warnings
Headlight adjustment screws have a small spring underneath them that pushes against the headlight to move it up and down.

Do not adjust headlights to center on the masking tape. This action will shine the lights directly into oncoming traffic and blind other drivers.

The high beam headlight level adjusts at the same time as the low beams on vehicles with a single headlight on each side.

Headlights that are too low shine close to the car on the road and have limited reach in distance.

Headlights that are too high do not illuminate the road near the front of the car.

that you get everything back in the proper order and direction. The following steps tell you how: 1. As you did with the drums, saturate the dirt on the brake backing plate with brake parts cleaner; then wipe it off with a clean, grease-free rag and throw the rag away. .Chapter 18: Being a Buddy to Your Brakes and Bearings 2 ff 1 Don't blow the dust around — it can contain asbestos and cause serious lung damage. If you'd rather not deal with it at all, just leave the grime alone. 2. Wipe the dirt off the spindle and replace the wheel hub and brake drum on the spindle. If you have a floating drum, skip Steps 4 through 8 and slide the drum back over the lug nut studs until it contacts the hub. Be gentle so that you don't unseat the grease seal. 3. If you haven't already cleaned the inside of the drum, spray it with brake cleaner and wipe it out with a grease-free rag; then wrap the rag in a plastic bag and dispose of it immediately. 4. Replace the outer wheel bearing (smaller end first) and the washer. Don't let any dirt get on these! 846 Car Insurance 2002 toyota corolla lesedan4d 484744

5. Replace the adjusting nut by screwing it on firmly and then backing it off half a turn and retightening it "finger tight." ^ ^—-^ Another way to complete this step is to back the adjusting nut off one full notch (60 degrees) and, if the notch doesn't line up with the hole in the spindle, back it off just enough until it does. Then spin the wheel by hand to be sure that it turns freely. If it doesn't, loosen the nut a bit more. 6. Insert the cotter pin into the hole in the castellated nut. The cotter pin should clear the outer grooves and go all the way through. Refer to your sketch, if you made one, to make sure that it's pointing in the right direction. 7. Bend the legs of the cotter pin back across the surface of the nut to hold it in place. 8. Replace the grease cap. 9. Follow the instructions in Chapter 1 to replace your wheel, lug nuts, and hubcap and lower the vehicle to the ground. Checking disc brakes Today, most vehicles have four-wheel disc brakes. Others have disc brakes on the front wheels and drum brakes on the rear wheels.

Part'" : KeePin9 Your Car in Gootl Condition, System by System You should check disc brakes and disc brake linings every 10,000 miles — more often if your brakes suddenly start to squeal or pull to one side, or if your brake pedal flutters when you step on it. Before you check your brakes, go to an auto supply store or to the parts department of your dealership and ask to see a set of brake pads for your vehicle's make, model, and year. Measure the thickness of the linings on the pads so that you'll be able to tell whether the linings on your brakes are badly worn when you check them. 2. Look at the rotor, but don't attempt to remove it from the vehicle. The brake caliper has to be removed before you can remove a disc brake rotor, and there's no need to do so. If you're working alone, just check the visible part of the rotor for heavy rust, scoring, and uneven wear. Rust generally does no damage unless the vehicle has been standing idle for a long time and the rust has really built up. If your rotor is badly scored or worn unevenly, have a professional determine whether it can be reground or it needs to be replaced. .Chapter 18: Being a Buddy to Your Brakes and Bearings !? C 2 3. Inspect your brake caliper (the component blocking your view of the entire disc brake rotor). Be careful. If the vehicle has been driven recently, the caliper will be hot. If it's cool to the touch, grasp it and gently shake it to make sure that it isn't loosely mounted and its mounting hardware isn't worn. 4. Peek through the dust shield on the caliper and look at the brake pads inside. If the linings on the brake pads look much thinner than the new ones you saw, they probably have to be replaced. If the linings have worn to the metal pads, the disc probably has to be reground as well. 5. Follow the instructions in Chapter 1 to replace your wheel, lug nuts, and hubcap and lower the vehicle to the ground. If the rotor and pads seem to be in good condition and your brake pedal doesn't flutter when you step on it, there's nothing else you need to do. Relining, caliper maintenance, and disc grinding should be left to a professional unless you do the job under supervision at an auto class. Go to a brake specialist (use the Yellow Pages or ask a friendly mechanic to steer you to one) rather than to the corner garage for this kind of work. Call a couple of shops and ask for estimates. Choose neither the cheapest nor the most expensive. Chapter 22 is devoted to finding a good service facility and dealing with them successfully.
